As speakers rally the crowd on the corner of 19th Street and Stout Street, a marcher hoists a flag, reading “AN INJURY TO ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL,” a saying popularized by the Industrial Workers of the World to signify worker solidarity. The protest on May Day focused on labor unions, but also criticized the Trump administration for many grievances.Framed by two other people carrying a banner, a marcher shouts out call and response chants to the crowd as they walk through the streets downtown Denver.
